How today's OSRS flips are calculated

Every flip on this page is a live snapshot from the official Old School RuneScape Wiki real-time pricing API. For each item, the buy price is the current insta-sell price (what someone will sell to you for) and the sell price is the current insta-buy price (what someone will pay you). The margin is the gap between them minus the 2% Grand Exchange sales tax, which is capped at 5,000,000 GP per item.

Why post-tax profit matters

A raw spread can look good before you subtract the GE tax. The margins here are already post-tax, so the number you see is close to what actually lands in your pocket after a sale. ROI is that post-tax margin divided by the buy price, so a small ROI on a cheap, high-volume item can out-earn a big ROI on something that rarely fills. See how the 2% GE tax works and ROI vs margin.

Why buy limits and volume matter

Each item has a Grand Exchange buy limit: the most units you can buy every 4 hours. It caps how much profit a single flip can make, no matter how wide the margin. Volume is how many units trade in a given window; higher volume means your offer is more likely to fill quickly. A flip only earns when it actually completes, so healthy volume matters as much as a healthy margin. See how the buy limit works.

Margins move fast. These numbers are a snapshot, updated about every 10 minutes, and the Grand Exchange can shift within minutes, especially after a Wednesday game update or a weekend supply spike. Treat this as a starting point, not a guarantee. New to flipping? Start with the OSRS flipping beginner guide.
