About GE IQ
GE IQ is an independent Grand Exchange analytics tool for Old School RuneScape. It ranks live buy and sell prices from the official RuneScape Wiki API and adds the analysis flippers usually do by hand: post-tax margins, ROI, buy-limit-aware profit ceilings, flip grades, volume and stability scoring, and a portfolio tracker to keep the eight GE slots honest.
Who makes it
GE IQ is built and maintained by Lars, a solo developer. It started as a personal tool to stop guessing whether a 4M margin was actually better than a stable 800k margin. What was one spreadsheet turned into a browser app, then into a public site.
What it is not
GE IQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex Ltd. It does not connect to your OSRS account, does not automate anything in the game, and does not modify the game client. Old School RuneScape, RuneScape, and the Grand Exchange are trademarks of Jagex Ltd; item names and icons are used for identification only.
How it works, briefly
The app polls the official RuneScape Wiki real-time pricing API every two minutes. From those prices it calculates margin (after the 2% Grand Exchange tax, capped at 5,000,000 GP per item), ROI, and profit per 4-hour buy-limit cycle, then grades each item A to F based on margin, volume, and price stability. Your favourites, watchlist, portfolio, and settings live in your browser's localStorage. Cloud sync between devices is optional and uses a six-character code.
Data source and credits
Prices come from prices.runescape.wiki, the public API maintained by the OSRS Wiki community. Item icons come from the OSRS Wiki. Post-update market impact data comes from the open-source osrs-update-impact-tracker project. Payments are handled by Stripe. Hosting is on Vercel.
Guarantees, or the lack of them
GE IQ shows you numbers. It does not guarantee any profit. Grand Exchange prices move and the API can be delayed or wrong. Every trade you make on the basis of a number you saw here is at your own risk. See the Terms of Service for the long version.
